telecommunications network engineer(s) . We are looking for the best and brightest
telecommunications network engineers
with 8 or more years of experience to join our innovative information technology team! Jobs are located in various parts of Maryland, such as Columbia.
Responsibilities
Maintain data, voice, and/or video network hardware and systems.
Investigate and resolve significant network and hardware issues.
Research, analyze, isolate, and resolve errors.
Assess and update older networks as needed, following specified plans.
Provide escalated Tier-2 and Tier-3 technical support on data, voice, or video networks.
Answer technical questions; recommend and implement approved solutions.
Install network applications on servers or voice equipment; maintain, test, and resolve problems.
Design, implement, and maintain networks such as LAN, CAN, and voice systems according to requirements.
Prepare network diagrams and drawings to document operational status.
Configure network devices like routers, switches, PBX, and related equipment to enhance performance.
Serve as a role model to less experienced personnel.
Experience with installation and configuration of network devices, including VoIP switches, gateways, firewalls, routers, and cabling.
Demonstrated experience with Cisco Unified Communication Manager and networking.

Minimum Requirements
Active high-level authorization to view nondisclosed information, requiring an investigative screening exam.
Security background check; prior checks are a plus.
Candidate Responsibilities Possess telecommunications network engineering skills, including installation and configuration of network devices such as VoIP switches, gateways, firewalls, switches, and routers. Demonstrated experience with Cisco Unified Communication Manager and networking is required.
Required Skills
IAT Level II baseline certification.
CCNP or higher certification, with preference for CCNP Collaboration or Routing and Switching.
Qualifications
Eight (8) years of experience in similar scope programs.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or four (4) years of additional network engineering experience as a substitute.
