Overview Citrus Health Group is seeking a visionary and results-driven VP, Client Services – HCP Marketing Communications Lead to spearhead our client partnership strategy and support business growth within our core function and accounts. Leverage a strong understanding of revenue generation and business metrics to contribute actively to Citrus’s profitability. This leadership role demands a dynamic leader with exceptional financial management skills, a proven record of organic account growth, and deep expertise in strategic HCP communications. The VP will oversee client relationships, inspire high-performing teams, and ensure operational and financial excellence across all HCP marketing initiatives for assigned accounts. Strategic Account Services: Leading all aspects of account management Serve as the senior strategic advisor for HCP client accounts, building and maintaining trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Drive organic growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and leading the development and delivery of high-impact HCP marketing strategies. Develop project briefs, proposals, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client objectives and Citrus Health Group’s profitability targets. Lead and support strategic publication and medical communication planning for HCP audiences, ensuring innovative and compliant solutions. Continuously offer strategic and innovative ideas to support in achieving client and team objectives. Establish and support cross-functional teams to meet client needs. Champion the adoption of industry best practices and emerging trends to keep clients at the forefront of HCP engagement. Review all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and ensure client expectations are met. Keep leadership informed of critical client and project updates and concerns. Facilitate communication between team members and clients as necessary to maintain strong relationships and effective account management. Client Management: Manage successful client relationships Act as the primary contact for key HCP marketing clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and growth. Manage the financial aspects of client relationships including compliance to contracts, statements of work, purchase orders, invoices, forecasting, and reporting in partnership with the project manager. Lead client meetings, strategic planning sessions, and business reviews, communicating actionable insights and recommendations. Attend and lead aspects of regular client status meetings, new project kick-offs, and debrief meetings; communicate key learnings to client and internal team. Proactively manage scope changes, communicate cost implications, and negotiate solutions to maintain client trust and project alignment. Represent Citrus Health Group at industry events, advisory boards, and client engagements as a thought leader and brand ambassador. Financial Management & Operational Excellence Direct all financial aspects of client engagements, including budget development, forecasting, contract compliance, invoicing, and financial reporting. Monitor and optimize account profitability, leveraging strong financial acumen to manage risk and maximize revenue. Lead high-stakes pitch presentations and new business proposals, demonstrating expertise in financial modeling and operational planning. Ensure operational excellence by implementing efficient processes and maintaining rigorous quality standards across all deliverables. Team Leadership: Deliver effective management and support team members Lead the account team, providing support on client relationships and project deliverables to ensure efficiency and strong client return. Foster and develop collaboration between teams. Resolve conflicts and celebrate successes. Set clear team priorities and explain client/program goals, objectives, and strategies to define success. Be a positive force for enhancing organizational culture and strong internal communications. Foster collaboration between teams to ensure innovative solutions to client needs. Mentor, train, and coach team members to facilitate continued growth and development. Responsible for the managementof 1-2direct reports; including continuous performance feedback, collaborative goal setting, timely performance reviews, etc. External Communications: Communicate effectively with clients Where appropriate and necessary, communicate with authors and/or clients concerning project support issues and changes. Actively participate in client presentations, selling, and communicating Citrus Health Group point of view and expertise. Regularly update all stakeholders on project status. Support project team in proactively anticipating, addressing, and responding to author/client requests. Take a leadership role in fostering team communications. Identify and nurture new business opportunities. Communication & Industry Expertise Lead high-level client presentations, pitches, and communications, articulating Citrus Health Group’s value proposition and HCP expertise. Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring Citrus and its clients remain compliant and competitive. Support teams in anticipating and addressing complex client and author requests, ensuring seamless project execution and communication. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required;MBA, PhD, MD or PharmD preferred 10+ years of progressive experience in client services, account management, or HCP marketing communications within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical communications industry Demonstrated executive-level financial management and operational leadership skills Proven track record of organic account growth and successful pitch leadership Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and business development skills Expertise in cross-functional team leadership and collaboration Deep understanding of HCP market dynamics, scientific information, and clinical data Outstanding communication, presentation, and persuasion skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint, with the ability to create compelling and well-designed presentations High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail Effective leadership skills with a strong focus on account services, strategic medical communications, and business processes A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills Ability to provide management direction and developmental support to direct reports; provide challenging and stretching assignments; delegate tasks to empower others; share ownership and visibility Ability to think analytically and to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute Expert verbal and written communication skills Expert presentation and persuasion skills The estimated salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $200,000 per year. This is the pay range that Citrus anticipates it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
