Hematology Oncology

Physician. Currently, the practice includes one physician and an advanced practice provider. Patients are evaluated at lung, breast, GI, and hematology tumor boards. Patients may be enrolled in clinical trials, and there is hospitalist coverage for admissions and overnight inpatient emergencies. The physician will be able to participate in teaching activities with residents and medical students. The group works closely with radiation oncologists, primary care physicians, and surgeons. The radiation oncology department is equipped with the latest technology, including direct access to proton therapy. Social work, nutritional, and genetic counseling services are available on-site. The ideal candidate should be a “generalist” who feels comfortable managing medical oncology, malignant, and benign hematology. Weekend call is rotated within the group.
