POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for Optima Tax Relief, LLC (Optima) is located in the Santa Ana, California office and reports to the Director, Human Resources. This role is relied on for performing senior level Human Resources duties and works closely with Optima leaders to support their teams. This individual will help lead a team that champions change, collaborates with Optimians of all levels, and propels the business forward. As a critical member of the HR team, the HRBP is in both a strategic and hands-on role focused on creating a great place to work, positive employee relations, building leadership capability, while aligning HR objectives with business goals. This individual will partner with the business leaders to develop business objectives and implement HR strategies delivering organizational results. The HRBP will strengthen the leadership team by driving an inclusive and diverse culture and providing coaching and consultation to leaders to further develop their leadership capability. This role must also champion Optimas culture and Core Values and help to deliver the best customer experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Partner with business leaders to understand their goals and provide HR guidance to support strategic objectives. Develop and implement HR initiatives that align with business strategies. Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures. Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints or conflicts. Lead change management initiatives and support organizational restructuring efforts. Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Oversee the performance review process, providing guidance to managers on setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting appraisals. Work with leaders to develop improvement plans to identify and address performance issues. Cultivate internal and external relationships in support of business and HR goals. Establish strong working partnerships with the management team, employees, and HR colleagues. Analyze HR data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Manage HR projects and champion initiatives that represent HR in cross-functional initiatives. Assist in the development and implementation of talent management programs, including succession planning, career development, and performance management. Serve as a liaison with recruiting, compensation, and other internal partners. Follow company protocols to ensure the highest level of security to protect the client Personal Identifiable Information (PII). Other duties as assigned. In order to be provided the essential training required to be successful in this role, it is mandatory that you are present for and complete all essential/initial training onsite for up to 5 business days (unless prior management approval is provided). Please note that additional onsite training may be required depending on business need. Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 plus years of Human Resources Generalist experience. HRBP experience preferred. Solid understanding and application of Federal and State employment laws, compensation practices, benefits, leave of absence, and investigative techniques. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels. Aptness to coach and mentor managers and employees, providing guidance on career development and performance improvement. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including managers, employees, and external partners. Ability to analyze HR metrics and data to make informed decisions and provide strategic recommendations. Problem-solving skills to address complex HR issues. Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle competing priorities. Proficiency in managing and driving change initiatives, including the ability to lead organizational transformations and support restructuring efforts. Strong sense of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adjust to changing business needs. Proficient and comfortable with office equipment (Computer skills Microsoft Office, Outlook). Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other HR-related software.
