Job Title: Senior Electrical Manager
M. A. Mortenson Company is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Manager based in Minneapolis, MN. The role provides technical leadership and expertise throughout the construction of utility-scale solar projects, from design to commissioning.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field + 5 years of experience, OR
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent + 7 years of experience in EPC of solar projects, substations, and transmission lines.
Experience Requirements
24 months in utility-scale PV plant design, modeling, and electrical system design per NEC.
Developing equipment specifications, negotiating contracts, and managing construction partners.
Experience with EPC projects for substations, switchyards, and transmission lines.
Managing EPC project phases from design to commissioning, ensuring compliance with NEC and NESC.
Leading electrical testing, troubleshooting, and plant interconnection.
Quality control/assurance during construction phases.
Experience gained before, during, or after Master’s program is acceptable and may be concurrent.
