Job Description: Parsons is seeking a talented Software Engineer Lead to join our team! In this role, you will be a hands-on leader, integrating satellite ground control systems used by multiple mission partners. You will lead teams developing integration code, such as functions or subroutines within software libraries or programs, primarily designed to invoke other subroutines or system calls with minimal computation. You will also guide and mentor a small team of software developers, providing performance evaluations. What You'll Be Doing: Analyze, design, and develop software to support integration between mission software and ground systems. Review system architecture and select appropriate development and support tools to ensure optimal performance. Provide development guidance to internal and external customers, advising on best practices. Participate actively in test-based development and debugging of related software. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical/scientific discipline; an advanced degree is preferred. Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. At least 10 years of professional experience, including building APIs, functions, and subroutines. Proficiency in Python scripting, Java, or C# for software configuration. Experience with Satellite Operations, TT&C systems, or related areas. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of software security principles and best practices. Knowledge of software development lifecycles. Good technical writing skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment and learn new tools quickly. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Knowledge of Software Suite services and configuration for Mission Partner requirements. Familiarity with OpenC3 COSMOS. Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation. Experience with version control (Git), Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Jira). Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM). Ability to manage virtual machines and resources. Experience with cloud deployment and server OS (Windows Server, Linux, Unix).
