Job Purpose
The Assistant Project Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager in overseeing the planning, coordination, and daily execution of construction projects. This position serves as a key liaison between the project team, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring that project documentation, schedules, and workflows remain on track. Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination:
Assist the Project Manager in organizing and tracking project progress, ensuring milestones are met. RFI and Submittal Management:
Oversee the Request for Information (RFI) process and manage submittals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Bidding & Procurement:
Support in drafting scopes of work, reviewing bid proposals, and coordinating subcontractor agreements. Change Order Review:
Assist in evaluating change order requests and verifying cost impacts. Document Control:
Maintain and update project documentation, including contracts, meeting minutes, schedules, and reports. Project Close-Out:
Assist in finalizing all project documentation, warranty tracking, and turnover packages. Qualifications
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings across all disciplines. Contract Knowledge:
Strong understanding of contract documents, specifications, and compliance requirements. Experience:
Previous experience in multi-family construction is preferred. Communication Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Organizational Skills:
Strong administrative and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities. Software Experience:
Familiarity with BlueBeam, ProCore, and Textura is preferred. Prioritization:
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency. Certification:
OSHA 10 certification is a plus. Benefits
