Role Summary
The Virtual Design Construction Specialist will learn JE Dunn processes and tools, develop professional skills, and deliver consistent value-added services to project teams and internal customers. This position involves completing routine activities to support VDC processes and workflows for assigned projects, including base modeling, coordinating models, and assembling model content using various tools and technologies. All activities align with JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values. Key Role Responsibilities - Core
Provide models and documents necessary to complete scope as determined with VDC/BIM leadership and project teams. Assemble 3D content modeled by others and model any content not provided. Learn and maintain an efficient BIM process. Create and maintain clear project documentation, such as agendas, minutes, and constraint logs. Support operations with the RFI process for BIM-related items. Maintain relationships with subcontractors and project teams. Learn and apply VDC processes and standards to assigned projects. Read and interpret construction documents and BIM requirements, applying them to VDC processes. Analyze construction documents and models for errors and omissions, making corrections as needed. Support self-perform model management and layout activities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Perform work accurately, completely, and timely. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Ability to set up project-specific VDC technology. Ability to read construction documents and specifications. Build relationships and collaborate within teams. Learn and apply BIM technology solutions, including Autodesk BIM 360, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Education
Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred). Equivalent relevant experience considered. Experience
0-2 years of construction experience or internship/co-op experience (preferred). Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Willingness to work non-traditional hours and occasional travel. Work environment includes office and potential exposure to extreme conditions.
