We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary SDET Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern, scalable test automation frameworks. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with deep expertise in automation architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and quality engineering best practices. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, mentor teams, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Architect a complete redesign of the existing automation test framework using modern design patterns and tools. Define and implement test automation strategies and standards across the organization. Evaluate and integrate modern tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, TestContainers, Allure). Develop reusable and scalable automation libraries for UI, API, and backend testing. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for test automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc. Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and development teams to optimize test execution across environments. Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) and technology evaluations to identify improvement opportunities. Promote Shift-Left Testing and embed automation early in the SDLC. Focus on test data management, performance testing, and system resilience. Mentor QA engineers and developers contributing to the automation suite. Ensure integration with quality metrics and real-time reporting dashboards. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with at least 2 years in an automation/test architecture role. Proven experience designing and scaling test automation frameworks using languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or TypeScript. Hands-on experience with modern automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG/JUnit. Expertise in testing RESTful APIs and microservices using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Karate. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design principles. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for distributed testing and environment management. Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow (preferred). Strong knowledge of test strategy, test data management, performance tuning, and fault injection. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading enterprise-wide automation initiatives.
