Hiring: MEP Manager - Denver, CO
Seeking an MEP coordinator with at least 5 years of experience in commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all aspects of MEP systems within projects. The MEP coordinator will collaborate closely with project teams, executives, and regional leadership, and will be responsible for:
Estimating support, subcontractor bid reviews, scheduling, project logistics, and constructability reviews related to MEP systems.
Supporting pre-construction and project teams in reviewing trade partner estimates and costs related to design changes.
Managing owner-architect interface during the planning and installation of electrical, HVAC, automation, plumbing, process piping, low voltage systems, fire/life safety, and fire protection systems.
Reviewing all MEP shop drawings and submittals.
Developing commissioning plans for MEP systems, including testing, inspections, startup, acceptance testing, documentation, and system operation demonstrations.
Overseeing MEP system coordination through virtual design and construction processes.
Providing onsite construction support, overseeing start-up, balancing, commissioning, validation, owner training, and project closeout.
Developing and managing project-specific MEP quality and safety programs, including safety cause mapping for post-MEP safety events.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess:
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering concepts and applicable codes.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to resolve complex issues in MEP design and construction.
Experience running complex meetings, issuing minutes, and following up on deliverables.
Good knowledge of fire/life safety and fire sprinkler systems integration.
Understanding of testing and balancing processes and building automation systems.
Knowledge of MEP safety regulations and contributing to a safety culture.
Proficiency in virtual design and construction software, CPM scheduling, and lean pull planning (Primavera P6 preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
Excellent communication, listening, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to foster a positive team environment.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an MEP manager.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
