Job Description: The
Associate Director of Operations
is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of production manufacturing and secondary packaging operations of Jubilant HollisterStier Allergy Business Unit to include the manufacture of sterile / non-sterile products while adhering to OPEX and CAPEX budget. The Assoc. Director will ensure that all operations are complying with all internal and external regulatory requirements. The Assoc. Director is responsible for driving key continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a high level of quality and safety standards. The Assoc. Director will ensure operations complies with cGMP and Quality Policies. Assoc. Director is a key member of the Jubilant ABU management team and will be required to have significant interaction with our internal/external customers and the various regulatory bodies. Ensure that effective manufacturing and packaging plans and processes are in place to effectively meet service targets with respect to on-time delivery and schedule adherence. Maintains adherence to cGMP regulations, quality policies, regulatory requirements, and company policies Develop and implement quality improvement plans to meet FDA and European and other regulatory guidelines. Develop the annual and long range operating budgets with respect to manufacruitng and packaging operations and the implementation of process improvements and controls to ensure the development of an efficient and compliant operation. Lead the development and implementation of the site capital budget. Responsible for maintaining positive employee relations/productivity environment within the plant, and ensuring performance concerns are promptly addressed. Identify, propose and implement business improvements that are aligned to goals and business objectives as well as initiating policies, procedures, controls and to facilitate department workflow. Oversee new product introductions for all dosage forms and delivery systems through the Technical Services group. Responsible for development of short, medium and long-term manufacturing strategies, capacity planning, and manages production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while meeting quality standards Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth Assit in the development, recruiting and training programs for employees. Develop Personal Development Action Plans for all key employees with Human Resources. Maintain and Develop a succession plan with Human Resources. Assure budgeted sales level is achieved within operations budget. Ensures efficient and cost-effective production processes, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste. Identifies key areas for improvement in manufacturing processes, implements new technologies and methodologies, and drives continuous optimization efforts by directly involving the team at shop floor. Ensures adherence to safety policies, safety regulations and environmental standards. Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, R&D, Quality , and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient workflows. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Pharmacy or related Scientific field or equivalent work required. Masters Degree in Business desired. Minimum 10 years of related experience in progressive business management/leadership experience in a manufacturing organization. In-depth knowledge of cGMP regulations and industry best practices. Understanding of aseptic processing techniques, validation, and sterilization methods. Pharmaceutical experience desired in Production/Quality/Technical. Ability to manage complex projects, from new product launches to facility upgrades. Experience with technology transfer from development to manufacturing. Any certification in Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, and Managerial Effectiveness preferred. Advanced Vocational/Specialized Knowledge. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience with ERP systems and Capacity management, stock management and purchasing within an ERP environment (SAP preferred) required. Strong GMP knowledge and impact of non-compliance required.
