Mammography Tech Trainee

Responsibilities: Complete a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar with 8-hours of training in digital mammography included (Radnet will reimburse you). Complete 8-hours of training in Tomosynthesis (Radnet will reimburse you). Pass the California State Mammography Licensing Exam (Radnet will reimburse you). Career Advancement Opportunity available for a dedicated and caring professional to cross-train into mammography. Be provided hands-on training in mammography once you have your California State Mammography License. Become a full-time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified. Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management. Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information. Safeguards any on-site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements. Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals. Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions. Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting. To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have: A current California State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification. BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association. The keen interest and ability to learn new skills in advanced radiology procedures such as Tomosynthesis, biopsies, and procedures. Be resilient, adaptable and compassionate. Patients can be nervous about their exams; we look to you to provide a calm and friendly demeanor, and provide a professional and positive healthcare delivery experience. Be quick thinking and have the ability to take appropriate action on-the-fly should an emergent situation arise.
