RN Unit Manager
Cortlandt is seeking an RN Unit Manager to join their growing team.
RN Unit Manager Job Description:
Day to Day Supervision of Licensed and Non-Licensed staff, including counseling/disciplinary action, evaluations, one-to-one in-service, suspension/terminations.
Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit; including paper compliance, reports, and EMR monitoring.
Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of care.
Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Communicate appropriately with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and governmental agencies/personnel.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to Post-Acute & long-term care.
Demonstrate leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
RN Unit Manager Requirements/Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Current RN and unencumbered license for the state of practice.
1 year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility preferred.
Reliable and able to accommodate a flexible schedule to include evenings, nights, and weekend work hours when necessary.
Salary Range: up to $110,000 a year
