Job Overview SAIC seeks an experienced Hardware Engineer Senior to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground‑based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Job Duties Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of systems and subsystems and restore functionality. Provide on‑site technical expertise for Emergency Depot Level Maintenance, Urgent Depot Level Maintenance, Engineering Assists, and Technical Assists at any of the six ground‑based radar sites. Perform electrical and mechanical failure evaluation on failed spare parts returned to Depot. Generate test plans, test procedures, trip reports, investigation reports, and technical orders. Provide lab and site integration, test, and maintenance support; interact and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining systems and subsystems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and nine or more years of experience. Active Secret Clearance. Preferred radar design experience. Understand the engineering life cycle in developing systems and subsystems. Experience troubleshooting complex systems and testing hardware conformance to specifications. Experience sustaining ground‑based radar (GBRs) or other strategic warning and surveillance radar systems such as PARCS and UEWR. Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise. Salary Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
