Posted Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 6:00 AM Job Summary: The Recruiter is responsible for facilitating the recruitment and hiring process and collaborating with managers to meet staffing needs. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience. Essential Job Functions: Source driver candidates using Tenstreet communications and third party vendors to build a robust candidate pipeline Screen driver candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone or video screenings to evaluate candidates' skills and experience Perform reference checks as needed Facilitate the offer process by connecting the candidate with the terminal or hiring manager for interview, selection, and closing process Enhance talent acquisition strategies; stay informed about current recruitment best practices Assist in coordinating and monitoring candidate onboarding and orientation Ensure all driver screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations Builds and updates the recruiting workflow for commercial drivers, runs background checks, maintains driver qualification files, annual check for MVR and Clearing House query, and ensure each step is in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities Attends career and job fair events to recruit potential employees Generate regular reports on recruitment metrics and effectiveness Develop and refine the overarching strategy for the Skillbridge program and other apprenticeship or internship opportunities and ensure compliance with program regulations and guidelines Facilitate the placement of transitioning service members into internship opportunities aligned with their career goals Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program participants and activities Other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver’s license in state of residency with acceptable driving record Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to the company random drug and alcohol program Excellent written and verbal communication skills Capacity to adjust and thrive in changing circumstances Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet deadlines Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Preferred: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Entry level knowledge of recruitment tools, techniques, and best practices Previous experience in recruitment or human resources Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential function of this job. This is mostly a sedentary office classification, although standing in outdoor work areas and walking between terminal, safety lane, and commercial motor vehicles (CMV) operating areas for short periods can be necessary. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator, and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach push and pull. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed in both an office environment, a commercial motor vehicle terminal environment, and outdoors, thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office/CMV equipment. Exposure to various climate conditions, fumes, dust, odors, oil/grease, and gasses.
