InGenesis is seeking an
Optometrist
to work with our client. In this role, you will perform routine vision and ocular examinations to provide appropriate corrections and diagnoses.

Essential Responsibilities
Diagnose and correct refractive errors including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and amblyopia.
Prescribe eyeglasses and ocular medications.
Order and interpret tests needed to detect and appropriately manage common ocular disorders such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, red eye, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases such as hypertension and diabetes and refer patients to other healthcare providers as needed.
Proficient in documentation of clinical findings and assessment and plan.
Promote eye health by counseling patients.
Co-manage and refer ocular conditions outside of the scope of optometry.
Qualifications
Graduate of a school or college of Optometry, accredited by the State Board of Optometry.
Board certified with TPA and TLG/TPG Glaucoma certification.
Maintains all licensing requirements for the State of California.
Two (2) years of experience is preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
Physical Demands
Respond to medical emergencies; may need to walk or jog quickly to provide assistance.
Perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
Assist sick, injured, or aging patients during emergencies, which may involve lifting or dragging.
Ability to see, hear, and smell with or without aids.
Alternate between kneeling and standing.
Lift, push, and carry up to 30 pounds.
Stand on hard surfaces for long periods.
Operate a computer and handle documentation regularly.
