1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants The Division of Hematology/Oncology at Loyola Medicine is seeking a physician leader at an Associate or Professor ranking for the Coleman Endowed Chief of Hematology and the Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMT) and Cellular Immunotherapy Program located in the greater Chicagoland area, Illinois. The Chief of Hematology and Director of the Cellular Immunotherapy and BMT Program will provide administrative leadership, management, and quality program supervision for the clinical, research, and procedural activities of this Section of the Division of Hematology-Oncology. The Chief will collaborate with leadership across multiple disciplines and departments at Loyola Medicine to execute a cohesive organizational strategy that aligns with the mission and strategic plan of Loyola Medicine. The Chief reports to the Division Chief of the Section of Hematology-Oncology and will work closely with the Cancer Center Director and Chair of Medicine. An attractive package is being offered, including ample laboratory space, startup funding, and support staff for a translational Hematology/Cellular Therapy/Transplant research program. The candidate will also have the opportunity to hire junior faculty. The Loyola Medicine BMT Program has a longstanding reputation for excellence in Hematology research and therapy within the Chicagoland area and nationally, with leadership roles in cellular therapy, BMT clinical trials, and contributions to SWOG studies for over 35 years. The program performs over 120 adult transplants annually and is expanding its CAR-T treatments, utilizing dedicated inpatient and outpatient spaces. It is the first in Illinois to perform CAR-T and remains a leader in this field, capable of producing CAR-Ts in-house with its cGMP core lab. The program is fully accredited by FACT and NMDP and performs various types of allografts, including from matched related, unrelated, haploidentical donors, and cord blood transplants.
