Position Summary:
The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at YU's Katz School of Science and Health is seeking part-time faculty to teach coursework in pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, genetics, and clinical medicine. Adjunct responsibilities include development of course syllabi, instruction of didactic year students, and evaluation of course and student success. Position Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and write syllabi for coursework taught in the didactic phase of the Katz School's PA Program Teach didactic and clinical year students, in both lectures and laboratories Assess and evaluate student learning Collaborate with members of the Katz School's PA faculty and the University faculty Provide remediation instruction to ensure student success Participate in curriculum review and evaluation Experience & Educational Background:
If a Physician Assistant, a Master's degree is required, as well as: Current PA national certification (candidate is required to maintain certification throughout employment) Eligibility for licensure in NYS Minimum of two years clinical experience Higher education teaching experience preferred Experience as clinical preceptor preferred If a Physician, current eligibility or unrestricted license as an allopathic or osteopathic physician in NYS is required, as well as: Certification by an ABMS or AOA approved specialty board is preferred Minimum of three years clinical experience Experience as clinical preceptor preferred If a Pharmacist, a Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required, as well as: Residency and/or fellowship or equivalent experience Teaching experience at graduate level in pharmaceutical science Salary Range:
