Cook Children's Healthcare System, based in Fort Worth, Texas, has an exciting opportunity for a Metabolic Geneticist to join its Department of Genetics. Cook Children's is one of the country's leading free-standing integrated pediatric health care systems. Our dedicated clinicians combine healing art with advanced technology and collaboration to provide exceptional patient care. The system records approximately one million patient encounters annually across its medical center, specialty and primary care offices, neighborhood clinics, outpatient settings, and home health visits. Join a well-established Department of Genetics staffed by 8 clinical geneticists, 2 metabolic geneticists, board-certified genetic counselors, case managers, a metabolic dietitian, and metabolic nurses. Access to a broad pediatric sub-specialty platform with 35 departments and 40 outpatient primary care clinics, offering partnership opportunities for genetics program development across specialties. Close involvement with the Texas newborn screening program. Research and teaching opportunities available if desired.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). American Heart Association BLS and PALS certification. Unrestricted Texas Medical License (must be obtained prior to start date). Successful completion of an ACGME or AMA-accredited residency in pediatrics. Board certified or eligible in medical or medical biochemical genetics.
