We are seeking a

DevSecOps Engineer

to design, implement, and maintain secure, automated infrastructure solutions that enable rapid delivery of mission‑critical applications. This role will focus on integrating security best practices into every stage of the software development lifecycle while driving innovation through automation and modern cloud‑native technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing

Innovate and Automate:

Develop cutting‑edge solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps tools to streamline CI/CD, code quality, security, and monitoring processes.

Ensure Compliance and Performance:

Validate that infrastructure, services, and applications meet security, monitoring, performance, and SLA standards.

Release and Scale:

Demonstrate experience in releasing production code and building PaaS/SaaS solutions.

Collaborate Across Teams:

Work closely with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain secure, automated infrastructure.

Embed Security in SDLC:

Implement security best practices, including code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and threat modeling throughout the development lifecycle.

Build CI/CD Pipelines:

Develop and maintain pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.

Containerization and Microservices:

Design and manage containerized environments and microservices architectures.

Integrate Security Controls:

Incorporate automated vulnerability scanning, static/dynamic analysis, and security testing into CI/CD workflows.

Compliance and Regulatory Alignment:

Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements.

Automate Security Processes:

Orchestrate incident response and threat detection using tools such as Splunk, Chef Automate, and similar technologies.

Stay Ahead of Trends:

Monitor emerging DevSecOps practices and recommend new technologies for adoption.

Mentor and Guide:

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in DevSecOps principles and techniques.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

Active Secret clearance

required.

U.S. Citizenship required (dual citizens not eligible due to federal contract requirements).

Experience with federal government contracts, with a preference for contracts under Homeland Security.

8+ years as a DevSecOps Engineer or in a related technical field.

Hands‑on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.

Experience with Docker Enterprise, Splunk, Chef, Chef Automate, Chef (Ruby), Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Strong hands‑on experience in:

Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

Jenkins (including Groovy scripting)

Python for automation and scripting

Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and meet recall/on‑call requirements in a 24×7×365 environment.
