Senior Director, Engagement & Capacity Building, Bureau of Harlem Neighborhood Health, ID # 711623 The Bureau of Harlem Neighborhood Health (Harlem BNH) supports the Health Department's mission to protect and promote the health of all New Yorkers.

Duties

Lead strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of bureau's capacity building efforts.

Evaluate various data sources, including community partner surveys; use evaluation findings to inform program development and recommendations; develop trainings and workshops for community-based organizations.

Supervise staff conducting community surveys, listening sessions and assessments; review literature to assess innovative and effective community engagement.

Lead and support the use of PHPC, and other IT solutions, in maintaining partner relations, etc.

Preferred Skills

Experience developing, conducting and evaluating community assessments.

Experience in program design and development.

Experience in various data collection methods such as interviews, questionnaires and focus groups, etc.

Qualifications

A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization.

A master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization.

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
