Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager (Transportation)
Albert A. Webb Associates (WEBB) is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager for our Traffic and Transportation Team. The role focuses on roadway improvements for public agencies and private developments, including new roads, road widening, active transportation, complete streets, roundabouts, parking lots, freeway interchanges, and minor drainage facilities. Projects range from $500,000 to $30 million.
Base Salary Range: $123 300 – $197 300 per year. Hybrid: 1 day in office, 4 days remote.

Responsibilities
Serve as a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects.
Coordinate major projects through design completion, demonstrating creativity, foresight, and technical judgment.
Ensure engineering services meet professional standards, client requirements, budget control, scheduling, cost engineering/ control, quality control, and project objectives.
Interact with clients and participate in technical project design meetings.
Provide leadership to the design team for various tasks within the scope of a project, including training and supervising junior staff.
Coordinate with other design disciplines (structures, hydraulics/drainage, stormwater, traffic, electrical, utilities, right‑of‑way, environmental).
Prepare roadway designs, including planning documents and PS&E.
Coordinate with internal disciplines within WEBB.
Coordinate workload and schedule throughout the entire project development and ensure completion of documents on schedule and within budget.
Perform quality assurance checks for projects.
Requirements
8+ years of experience.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
Registered California Civil Engineer (P.E.).
Experience on projects with Caltrans and/or FHWA oversight.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
Experience should include urban and rural roadway design, intersection design, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layouts, and roadway drainage.
Knowledge and understanding of Caltrans Highway Design Manual and Standards, AASHTO Highway Design Guide, California MUTCD, Greenbook/APWA standards, and other related standards.
Salary: $123 300 – $197 300 per year.
