Location and Pay Location: Washington, DC
Base Pay Range: $35.00/hr - $60.00/hr
Employment Type Full‑time, six‑month contract.
Responsibilities Support DC Water projects in the Washington, DC area, focusing on water and sewer system infrastructure improvements. The construction inspector will have broad experience in multiple construction trades, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural. Responsibilities include monitoring contractor operations to ensure compliance with plans, contract terms, and specifications. Independently coordinate and direct all phases of construction inspection. Coordinate and schedule various phases with the prime contractor and other agencies; advise contractors of violations. Recommend changes to construction plans to meet field conditions; make field measurements and conduct materials testing; check equipment; maintain and review comprehensive project records including daily diaries, materials notebooks, as‑built plans, pay quantity records, progress schedules, work orders, and monthly estimates.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience related to construction
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
OSHA 10‑Hour Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
