The Bair Foundation
As Program Director for The Bair Foundation, you will lead a dedicated team committed to ensuring every child’s safety, well‑being, and long‑term success. You will oversee staff operations, monitor compliance with Virginia’s licensing and contractual standards, and ensure services align with The Bair Foundation’s model of care. Through strong leadership and collaboration, you’ll inspire excellence, empower your team, and ensure every program consistently delivers high‑quality outcomes for children and families.
WHO WE ARE Founded in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania in 1967, The Bair Foundation is a Christian non‑profit ministry serving children and families. We have provided quality care and services to children, youth, and families through a myriad of effective community‑based services. Today, The Bair Foundation provides services in 9 states, including Kentucky, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Our programs are child‑centered, family‑focused, strength‑based, and culturally competent, which are making a significant and positive impact on the children and families we serve. WHAT YOU’LL DO TO MAKE AN IMPACT
Lead with Purpose
– Supervise and develop staff, ensuring services meet program descriptions, state regulations, and COA standards.
Protect Children
– Ensure all safety concerns are addressed immediately and incidents are resolved effectively.
Elevate Quality
– Oversee documentation, compliance, and delivery of services that meet medical necessity and regulatory expectations.
Support Growth
– Manage budgets, monitor productivity, and achieve growth and performance goals for your office.
Strengthen Partnerships
– Cultivate strong relationships with referral agencies and community partners across Virginia.
Inspire Teams
– Provide regular supervision, coaching, and training to strengthen skills and promote excellence.
Protect Trust
– Safeguard confidentiality, uphold professional ethics, and ensure compliance with The Bair Foundation’s model of care.
Education:
Doctorate or Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university (Council on Social Work Education) OR a Doctorate/Master’s degree in a related field such as sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling.
Experience:
3–4 years of casework services with children and families, including 1 year of administrative or supervisory experience.
Licensure:
No licensure required; however, clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) is preferred.
Other:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
