Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Location: Greater Houston Area

Position Summary The
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
provides inpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents with behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and co‑occurring medical conditions. The psychiatrist works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including nursing, therapy, case management, and direct care staff, to ensure compassionate, evidence‑based care.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans consistent with evidence-based practice and patient goals.
Provide clinical leadership and consultation to the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Engage and educate patients’ families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning.
Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations and ethical standards of practice.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Completion of an accredited
Residency in Psychiatry
and
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship .
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Current Texas Medical License (or eligibility for licensure).
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
