Airport Operations Coordinator

EF High School Exchange Year seeks an energetic Airport Operations Coordinator to manage the arrival and departure logistics for over 2,000 students and visiting staff during the Welcome Camp summer program.
Responsibilities
Coordinate students' arrivals and departures at New York airports twice weekly, tracking flights and handling re‑bookings.
Communicate proactively with airport staff, ground crew, and on‑ground coordinators to resolve issues.
Manage staff assignments for airport shifts and coordinate bus transportation between airports and campus.
Drive a minivan or 15‑person van; valid driver’s license required.
Assist in senior staff training and all‑staff training schedules.
Work 45–60 hours per week; overtime paid at time and a half.
Qualifications / Ideal Candidate
Highly organized with experience managing large‑scale student programs.
Comfortable organizing intricate operational logistics and communicating with staff.
Experience traveling through primary New York airports (JFK, LaGuardia, Newark) and understanding airport processes / U.S. customs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Calm, solutions‑oriented, and able to remain focused in a busy office environment.
Excellent team player who enjoys working with dynamic colleagues and can incorporate feedback to improve systems.
Enthusiastic, patient, creative, flexible, and with a great sense of humor.
Able to work late hours (past midnight) at least twice per week.
Program Details The Welcome Camp runs from July 12 to August 18, 2026, divided into four sessions. Staff are required to complete two online training modules and attend pre‑arrival training.
All summer staff receive room and board for the duration of the program.
