Multnomah Athletic Club
is looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Ski Coach for a part‑time seasonal position with our Ski & Snowboard team.
Responsibilities
Coach athletes on the YSL Team (U8‑U14) and/or the USSS Team (U14‑U21) with instruction and guidance on 1‑4 training days per week, including weekend and nighttime sessions.
Help athletes progress through skill levels, from foundational techniques to competitive race strategies.
Support athletes in local and regional races such as the MHYSL series, U12 Buddy Werner Championships, PNW U14 Qualifier Series, and the Northwest Cup Series, guiding race preparation and performance analysis.
Collaborate with the coaching staff to create a positive, performance‑driven training environment and assist athletes with goal setting.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Current professional certification from US Ski and Snowboard and/or PSIA, or relevant experience in ski instruction, race coaching, or competition as an athlete.
Proficiency with technology, including email, Microsoft Office, Dayforce app, and Team Snap for scheduling and communication.
Strong planning and organizational skills to maintain smooth operations during the ski season.
Genuine passion for skiing, coaching, and youth development.
Team player with a collaborative and adaptable attitude.
Ability to meet the physical demands of coaching, including long periods of standing, walking, and skiing.
