Your Role As a Facilities Manager, your mission is to oversee the preventative and periodic maintenance required to optimize the facility’s and buildings maintenance, safety, health and environment systems, energy and controls instrumentations. This role will lead and manage the maintenance team’s rapid response to repair any equipment or facility failures that jeopardize safety or impact production across multiple sites. You will report to the Operations Manager.

Main Responsibilities

Maximizes buildings and equipment uptime using efficient, corrective, planned and preventative maintenance.

Ensures the safety policy is achieved for areas of direct control and local legislation is met.

Creates and oversees a planned maintenance program.

Develops maintenance schedules, procedures and methods for equipment and facilities.

Identifies parts or spares required for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Reviews completed repairs and recommends appropriate actions to improve mean time between repairs.

Leads projects to install or move production equipment installations as required.

Monitors equipment operating parameters to ensure the maximum operational performance.

Diagnoses and repairs production and facility equipment failures.

Conducts periodic calibration on all torque wrenches, gas sensors and analytical equipment.

Plans and coordinates equipment upgrades and machinery modifications, investigates equipment breakdowns and monitors equipment performance after repairs have been made.

Responsible for Performance Management Cycle for all direct staff.

Takes direction from Operations Manager and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred but not required.

10 years’ experience in plant maintenance with 5 years’ experience managing a facility maintenance team preferred.

Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.

Knowledge of ERP Systems.

Flexible approach and ability to work under pressure.
