Transportation Engineer
to join our team in Phoenix.
Responsibilities
Participate in a variety of projects including general engineering and planning studies, preliminary scoping, and final design projects
Perform a range of assignments, including roadway engineering calculations, data and traffic analysis, design, preparation of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; transportation studies; and report writing
Collaborate with experienced engineers and planners and proactively learn new methods and techniques to solve complex engineering problems
Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete projects and assigned tasks on time and within budget
Create exemplary internal and external work experience throughout project delivery
Interact with clients and the public
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
Engineer in Training (EIT) registration required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
0-4 years of transportation engineering experience, prior relatable internship/co-op experience preferred
Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs
Ability to work remotely based on business operations and the needs of the firm
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, prior experience with IHSDM, Synchro, and HCS beneficial
Prior experience with MicroStation/AutoCAD or GIS preferred
Strong verbal, presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills
