Overview Our client, a top-tier international law firm with one of the most sophisticated corporate platforms in the U.S., is seeking an Associate to join its dynamic M&A and Private Equity team in New York. The group advises on some of the largest and most intricate corporate transactions in the market, including multi‑billion‑dollar acquisitions, strategic investments, and complex cross‑border deals.

This position offers exposure to a wide range of industries and deal structures, working alongside attorneys widely recognized for their transactional leadership and commercial insight.

National and international reach , combining deep U.S. regulatory and corporate experience with a global network of offices to support cross‑border execution.

Extensive private equity capabilities , representing leading sponsors and their portfolio companies across all stages of the investment cycle.

A practical, solutions‑driven approach , helping clients navigate regulatory obstacles, public‑company considerations, shareholder dynamics, and other complex transactional challenges.

Strong multi‑disciplinary collaboration , with top‑ranked colleagues across finance, tax, executive compensation, litigation, and regulatory teams.

The Role What you'll be doing:

Work on a broad spectrum of U.S. and cross‑border M&A and private equity transactions

Assist with structuring, negotiating, and managing deal processes from start to finish

Engage directly with clients, including major corporates, financial sponsors, and emerging companies

Collaborate on matters involving antitrust, securities, financing, and other specialist considerations

Handle sophisticated documents and lead workstreams with increasing responsibility

Candidate Requirements We are looking for:

2–5 years of relevant experience in M&A and/or private equity

Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting/analytical skills

Experience in large‑scale transactions and comfort operating in a fast‑paced environment

A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills

Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
