Project Manager II – Responsibilities

Manage 2–4 concurrent projects up to $60 million in value or a single project up to $25 million.

Achieve project margins greater than 15 %.

Lead retrofits, greenfield, or brownfield projects for new or existing KNAPP customers.

Possibly manage reference projects for new customers or product lines.

Integrate scope from two or more KNAPP Group subsidiary companies.

Integrate limited third‑party equipment (≤ 25 % of scope).

Manage projects with minor contractual and schedule risks.

Perform minor software development of established KNAPP products.

Serve as the US project manager for North American projects within the global KNAPP Group program.

Ensure timely communication with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams.

Steer project activities and maintain schedules.

Document meetings, agendas, critical‑path schedules, risk registers, and commercial correspondence.

Escalate issues appropriately to eliminate negative impact.

Operate independently within KNAPP policies and procedures.

Champion the project from inception to completion.

Maintain communication channels with KNAPP AG and other subsidiaries.

Handle all commercial items and project budgets.

Coordinate change‑order pricing and proposals.

Evaluate RFQs and subcontract arrangements for major components.

Manage sub‑contracts and third‑party service providers.

Resolve open issues and support project teams (Site Manager, supervisors, engineers).

Occasionally act as process owner for core KNAPP PM tools.

Qualifications

Authorization to work in the U.S.

Passport or ability to obtain one.

Up to 50 % travel required; quarterly international travel.

Professional office etiquette at all times.

Physical ability to sit, squat, walk, lift 50–100 pounds, and read.
