Summary of Position
We are seeking a motivated and curious individual who's excited to explore a career in Human Resources. Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Intern will focus on project-based work in support of city-wide human resources functions across the employee lifecycle.
Expected Hours of Work
Hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

- Learning the Foundations of HR . Gain exposure to core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and compliance
- Project Work . Assist with strategic HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, policy updates, wellness programs, and HR data analysis
- Recruitment and Selection. Assist with the completion of administrative tasks related to recruitment and selection
- Benefits. Assist with the yearly benefits survey and gain professional knowledge of benefits for all employees
- Wellness Planning. Support planning and execution of employee wellness events and recognition programs
- Support Across Teams. Collaborate with HR team members on various day-to-day tasks and priorities
- Performing other duties as assigned
