Location Description
The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. Rissman. Set on a 10-acre campus, it is an incomparable property for both its city access and sense of complete retreat.
Description
As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing leadership and guidance to the accounting team. You will work closely with the finance team and other departments to support company goals and objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, transactions, and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and other financial reports for management review.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure team development and effectiveness.
  • Review and approve vendor invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies for audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost savings within the accounting function.
  • Assist with special projects, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in (specific industry or sector) preferred but not required.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $25.00/Hr. - $30.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
