Work Schedule This Dental Assistant will rotate work schedule every other week. Week 1 – Monday 8 AM – 5 PM / Tuesday 8 AM – 5:50 PM / Wednesday 9 AM – 5 PM / Thursday 7 AM – 2 PM Week 2 – Tuesday 8 AM – 5:30 PM / Wednesday 9 AM – 5 PM / Thursday 7 AM – 2 PM / Friday 7 AM – 2 PM Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment Take dental radiographs (x-rays) Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health Qualifications Prior Dental Assistant experience required Prior working experience with Dentrix highly preferred Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify X-ray certification where state regulations specify Benefits 3 weeks PTO & 8 Paid Holidays Paid Parental Leave Medical/Vision/Dental Benefits 401k Match Professional Growth and Career Advancement Opportunities Additional Information We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. Working Environment & Physical Requirements This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
