Process and Manufacturing Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Process and Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in driving process excellence, product introductions, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in high-automation manufacturing environments, with the ability to not only analyze data but apply advanced statistical methods to optimize processes, achieve Six Sigma-level performance, and support successful product ramp-up.
Position Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 4 engineers, with potential expansion to 6–8
Motivate and engage technical contributors to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Process Optimization & Statistical Analysis
Apply SPC (Statistical Process Control), DOE (Design of Experiments), and Process Capability Analysis to optimize processes
Interpret and apply statistical data, not just collect it, to drive process improvements
Use statistical tools early in production introduction to validate and stabilize processes before scaling
Product Introduction & Continuous Improvement
Oversee smooth transitions of new product designs into manufacturing
Ensure process capability during product ramp-up phases
Apply DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methods to projects moving from design to manufacturing
Support continuous improvement efforts through VSM (Value Stream Mapping) and related methodologies
Prerequisites
Minimum of 3+ years proven leadership experience in a high-automation manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, Process Capability Analysis, and VSM
Experience with DFSS and product introductions
Ability to lead, influence, and motivate engineering teams
Strong problem-solving and statistical analysis skills
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent project experience at that level)
What the Role Offers
Salary range: $100,000 – $130,000 annually
15% annual bonus eligibility
