Role Summary
Registered Dietitian to support comprehensive nutrition services, including home-delivered, congregate, and medically tailored meal programs. In this role, you will play a vital part in improving the health and well-being of patients by assessing nutritional needs, developing personalized care plans, and collaborating closely with the care team. Duties / Responsibilities Assess patients’ nutritional needs and dietary restrictions, and work with current health plans to develop and implement individualized dietary-care plans.
Provide nutritional counseling and guidance to patients and their families on diet modifications, food selection, and preparation.
Educate individuals and groups on fundamental nutrition concepts, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to enhance quality of life.
Inspect meals to ensure compliance with prescribed diets and standards for taste, presentation, and quality.
Coordinate recipe development, standardization, and menu planning for food service operations.
Offer recommendations related to nutrition policy and meal program improvements.
Complete all administrative requirements, including documentation, chart entries, and attendance at meetings as needed.
Provide nutrition counseling through both in-person and remote sessions.
Maintain current training and ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or completion of an ACEND-accredited nutrition program.
Registered Dietitian license.
Completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship or supervised practice experience.
Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
Ability and willingness to travel for patient visits.
ServSafe Certification within 180 days of hire.
Valid driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications Experience providing nutrition counseling in clinical, home care, or community-based settings.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Passion for promoting patient wellness and healthy living.
