Data Engineer . In this role, you will work on-site with the client, where you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure that power the client’s data-driven initiatives. Function
As a Data Engineer, you will be tasked with creating robust, scalable, and efficient data systems to process large volumes of data for the client. Working closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that data is properly collected, stored, and prepared for analysis. You will optimize data workflows, ensure data quality, and support the client’s long-term data architecture and infrastructure needs. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest and process data from various sources. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide the necessary infrastructure and support. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems by implementing proper data validation and monitoring mechanisms. Build and optimize data warehouses, lakes, and databases to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of large datasets. Develop and maintain data integration solutions to connect internal and external data sources. Manage and automate data workflows to support real-time and batch processing. Ensure security and compliance with data protection standards (e.g., GDPR) when handling sensitive data. Evaluate and integrate new data technologies and tools to continuously improve the client’s data infrastructure. Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in data engineering, preferably within a consultancy or client-facing environment. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing. Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake). Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration and automation tools. Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and best practices for data architecture. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
