Speech Pathologist (Center for Child Development) – Full-time, Day shift, Paramus, NJ Responsibilities
To provide quality goal directed Speech and Language Pathology (SLP) evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning to pediatric patients in a variety of age groups with cognitive, communication and/or swallowing disabilities. Pediatric oral motor/feeding experience is required. Supervise clinical activities of Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Students, Clinical Fellows, or Rehabilitation Aides as applicable. Education
Master's degree
in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, Communication Disorders or related areas from an accredited college or university. Experience
No previous experience required. Skills
Licensure/Certification:
Current certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent preferred. Maintains current New Jersey state license in Speech-Language Pathology. May be a CFY candidate. Competencies:
Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail; effective critical thinking and analytical skills; strong time management to set priorities; ability to communicate and interact with the health system, patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members; ability to function competently in a changing work environment related to changing patient needs. Supervision Exercised
Functional supervision of clinical activities on the part of Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Students, Clinical Fellows, or Rehabilitation Aides. Job Location
