Overview We are seeking a hands‑on Software Test Manager & Technical Lead to elevate our software testing strategy. This hybrid role combines leadership with direct technical involvement, guiding a high‑performing test team, refining testing capabilities, and working closely with cross‑functional teams across the US and Oulu, Finland.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Define and execute the overall test strategy for Oura’s mobile, backend, and data systems.
Lead and mentor a high‑performing test team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with development, data science, and product teams to align on test objectives and quality standards.
Balance managerial duties with hands‑on technical work.
Test Execution & Reporting
Design, drive, and implement automated test frameworks and tools (e.g., Pytest, Appium).
Contribute directly to test automation, CI/CD integrations, and test data pipelines.
Visualize data and metrics to communicate test coverage and quality status to stakeholders.
Quality Assurance & Process
Define KPIs and dashboards for test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness.
Champion quality standards across teams.
Introduce AI‑assisted testing methods and advanced analytics to enhance test effectiveness.
Establish best practices for regression testing, exploratory testing, and release validation.
Technical Leadership
Serve as the technical go‑to person for test automation, tooling, and framework decisions.
Coach engineers on code quality, maintainability, and automation principles.
