We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in software engineering and an interest in AI to join our team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of key components of our AI infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with engineers and data scientists to ensure the platform supports the complex needs of AI models and machine learning workflows. We enjoy a continuous deployment DevOps culture, and take owner-operator pride in supporting our code in production. Our production systems rely on React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Nestjs, GraphQL, Docker, AWS, Postgres, Redis, Apollo, and Redux. Our workflow is trunk-based CI/CD, and our security/compliance posture is at the highest standards of healthcare, including HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and CCPA.
What You’ll Accomplish
Work with the AI/ML team to integrate models and agents into the platform and ensure smooth deployment. Write clean, maintainable code with an emphasis on performance, reliability and scalability. Build and maintain APIs and microservices that enable AI model & agent deployment and data processing. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform performance, integration, and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and deliver effective solutions. Support ongoing improvements to the AI platform’s systems and workflows, contributing ideas and feedback to architectural discussions.
Hybrid Model
We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field 5+ years of experience in software engineering 3+ years of experience in backend development using Python, TypeScript, or Java Experience developing RESTful APIs and services Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Experience using Git for version control and collaborating in an agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in AI/ML related field Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies such as LLMs, RAG, or agentic AI Solid understanding of database systems and data processing technologies Familiarity with Generative AI technologies Experience building and managing infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation across AWS and other cloud platforms Experience driving CI/CD automation and observability through Datadog, Sentry, and related tools to improve deployment speed and system reliability Experience in frontend development using React/Typescript
Compensation
This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $162,800-$244,200.
