Our client is a leading healthcare company and they wish to hire a
Director of Accounting
that will lead the company’s accounting operations ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Overseeing the financial close process, technical accounting, internal controls, and build a high-performing accounting team. Essential duties will include- Manage general ledger, monthly/quarterly/annual close cycles, consolidations, and U.S. GAAP-compliant financial statements Guide revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), business combinations (ASC 805), stock‑based comp (ASC 718), debt and financial instruments Enhance existing controls, document processes, and manage internal/external audits Lead workflow and systems improvements, including ERP enhancements, automation, and dashboard development Develop, mentor, and manage a geographically distributed accounting team, with a focus on succession planning and performance tracking Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Tax, IT, and Finance on reporting, planning, M&A, and integration efforts Interface directly with external auditors, and participate in board and audit committee meetings Job requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent CPA required Public Accounting is a big plus Healthcare industry experience is preferred PE experience is a plus 10+ years’ experience in progressive accounting roles Proven track record with technical GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, and financial reporting in a growth environment Strong ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels Experience implementing or enhancing ERP systems and reporting tools; advanced Excel skills Seniority level
