We are seeking a talented and proactive Analyst to join our quantitative analytics and modeling team. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for independently assessing results from their analysis, deriving actionable insights, and proactively engaging with stakeholders to discuss findings and recommendations. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that insights are implemented. Responsibilities
Design and manage system for delivering regular and ad hoc reports on asset-based finance assets, leveraging Power BI or similar analytics platforms. Constantly improve and update the system over time. Analyze internal asset data, model results, external reports and economic data to understand risks and opportunities. Lead ad hoc analytical projects to obtain deep insights into the relationship between mortgage, economic and demographic data and performance outcomes for ABF collateral. Present findings clearly to both internal stakeholders and third‑party investors. Review modeling and forecasting assumptions to ensure that they align with reality and Barings’ and investors’ risk appetite. Mentor other data analysts to expand the capabilities and expertise within the team. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus. Educational background in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, engineering) strongly preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role in Asset-Based Finance or similar field in banking or finance. Proficiency with Power BI or similar reporting software. Expertise in querying and manipulating data using SQL or similar language. Proficiency in Python, R and other programming languages is a plus. Excellent communication skills for presenting data-driven insights. Strong attention to detail.
