Location of Position Houston, TX
The Position As an
Electrical Engineer , you will play a key leadership role in advancing our electrical engineering discipline. You will provide technical expertise, project oversight, and mentorship while driving innovation and ensuring excellence in project delivery. At higher levels, this role also involves project coordination, shaping engineering strategies, and guiding stakeholder engagement.
Position Responsibilities All Levels III, IV, V
Perform equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables
Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities
Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross‑functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders
Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements
Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule
Prepare, review, and approve electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs
Level IV
Support proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required
Participate in project scoping and estimation
Lead in a senior role, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the electrical engineering discipline
Work is highly independent
Level V
All responsibilities of level IV
Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
Participate in stakeholder management, Fit/Gap analysis, and needs analysis
Lead at the highest discipline level, managing the electrical engineering team, overseeing design and implementation of electrical systems, strategic planning, project coordination, and providing expertise and guidance
Work Autonomously
Qualifications
4 - 10+ Years experience, depending on the level of the position
Bachelor's degree in engineering required
Professional Engineer licensure preferred
Extensive knowledge and expertise in electrical engineering principles and practices
Advanced proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools
Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
In-depth understanding of power distribution, control systems, and electrical equipment
Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices
Ability to develop and implement electrical engineering standards and guidelines
Desired Skills and Competencies
Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills - written and verbal
Attention to Detail
High level of personal integrity
Strong relationship capabilities
Proficient in both written and spoken English
