Overview
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) — Brooklyn, NY (Part-Time School Day). Knowledge Road is seeking a part-time LCSW to join our team and provide essential psychological services to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. The role focuses on supporting the mental health and academic success of students in Brooklyn through evidence-based interventions and collaboration with school teams and families. Responsibilities
Provide direct, high-quality individual and group counseling services to students, as mandated by their IEP/IESP. Address a comprehensive range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and complex psychological conditions. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to inform treatment planning and educational recommendations. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic modalities tailored to the student\'s developmental and cultural needs. Collaborate with parents, teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to create a holistic and supportive learning environment. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, and outcomes in compliance with DOE regulations, HIPAA requirements, and Knowledge Road standards. Actively participate in IESP/IEP meetings, offering expert psychological insights and recommendations to guide student progress and educational planning. Qualifications
Must Have: NYS license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Master\'s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program. Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents. Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and teletherapy platforms. NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or willingness to obtain prior to start. Preferred: Experience in a school-based setting or educational environment. Specialized training in child and adolescent therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy, family therapy). Experience with psychological assessment and testing. Schedule & Location
This is a part-time, school-day position with a schedule that follows the NYC DOE calendar. Services are provided on-site at one or more schools in Brooklyn, with assignments based on student needs. Hours per week are driven by IESP/IEP mandates; caseload may vary by assignment. Typically ~5-15 hours/week in school-day blocks. Compensation
