Oversees daily operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ensuring patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and efficient workflow. Manages staff recruitment, training, and performance; fosters a positive work environment and high standards of care. Develops, implements, and evaluates departmental policies, protocols, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and evidence-based practices. Monitors departmental budgets, cost containment, and resource allocation to achieve financial goals while maintaining quality patient care. Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance service offerings, develop quality improvement initiatives, and optimize patient satisfaction. Ensures equipment and technologies in the Cath Lab are properly maintained, calibrated, and used according to safety standards. Analyzes performance metrics and quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions. Communicates with hospital administration, providing reports on departmental performance, project updates, and resource needs. Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies and standards. Leadership and Collaboration
Supervision and staff management: provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities; schedule staff and address staffing issues; conduct performance evaluations. Strategic planning and financial oversight: set department strategy, budgeting, resource allocation, and long-term planning; monitor expenditures and evaluate new technologies. Quality assurance and regulatory compliance: ensure compliance with regulatory bodies; participate in audits and accreditation processes; follow quality control practices. Collaboration and communication: coordinate with leadership and stay current with industry advancements. Staff responsibilities: may work in a staff role as needed, ensuring competencies are met. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required, or seven (7) years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Master’s Degree preferred. 3–5 years of experience in a closely related field with a Bachelor's degree required. 3–5 years of leadership experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
