Position Summary We invite you to join our team as an X‑Ray Technologist. In this role, you will operate radiological equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians, perform routine diagnostic procedures in accordance with established protocols, and manage all types of radiological examinations efficiently and competently.
Job Responsibilities
Take initiative and proactively resolve issues encountered in the department, with strong knowledge of PACS and CR Readers.
Acquire high‑quality X‑ray images of specified body areas in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
Identify yourself to the patient, explain the procedure, and answer any questions.
Use lead shields properly to protect gonads and other sensitive areas from radiation exposure.
Conduct examinations in an organized manner, using correct side markers and labeling films with initials.
Demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for your practice.
Accept direction from supervisors and maintain a clean, safe exam room.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Use portable equipment to conduct X‑ray examinations in other areas of the hospital, ensuring correct positioning and technical factors.
Ensure patient comfort and dignity throughout the procedure.
Complete tasks within reasonable timeframes and maintain patient welfare as a priority.
Fulfill all documentation duties required by the department.
Keep the Radiology Department neat, clean, and properly stocked with necessary supplies.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Associate’s Degree or Certificate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
New York State Radiologic Technology License or Permit (Permit acceptable in lieu of license for up to 180 days).
Willingness to devote the required time to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Radiologic Tech Lic IV‑Cert‑NYS
Radiologic Tech Lic – NYS
Preferred Qualifications
2‑5 + years of experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
