The Division of Pediatric Nephrology and Hypertension is currently seeking a faculty member to join our expanding program!

Position / Program Highlights

Collaborative team of Physicians and Providers, Nurses and Administrative Staff committed to providing care and services for inpatient and outpatient renal failure, hypertension, congenital renal malformations, hematuria, proteinuria, nephrotic syndrome, and several more complex renal conditions.

Highly engaged with resident and medical student teaching / training and clinical research.

Opportunity to engage in clinical and research activities across a number of Pediatric and Surgical / Transplant Specialties and Teams, where Our Department of Transplant Surgery is one of the nation’s busiest.

Strong focus on community outreach and health equity especially in renal diseases and pediatric hypertension.

Hospital / Service Line Offerings and Features

State-of-the-art treatments including kidney transplantation, peritoneal dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy.

The Pediatric Hypertension Program is a specialized effort in collaboration with pediatric nephrology, pediatric endocrinology and clinical nutrition to treat children with obesity and hypertension. The program offers a wide range of comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, including ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, hypertension treatment and weight management.

UM Children’s Hospital includes:

State of the art 52-bed Level IV NICU

19 bed PICU

29 General Pediatric Beds

20 bed Pediatric Emergency Department

Qualifications

Licensed (Maryland) M.D. / D.O.

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Nephrology.

Maryland State medical license, or able to obtain.

Demonstrate strong interest in working within an academic environment with a strong commitment to clinical care.
