Main Responsibilities
Lead medical strategy and tactics in the US under the guidance of the Senior Director of Global Medical Affairs HIDO, including initiating and maintaining relationships with thought leaders and supporting research and educational projects.
Support the development of short and long‑term goals for Medical Affairs, prioritizing research interests and desired collaborations with investigators and institutions.
Participate in long‑range planning, manage project plans, assess resource needs, and develop processes and standards within the medical perimeter.
Collaborate with MSLs to align medical activities and ensure Global Medical is aware of affiliate and regional insights and needs.
Lead content development for advisory board meetings and other Global Medical initiatives.
Support congress planning activities related to content and speaker selection for medical symposia and booths, including KOL engagement.
Represent Chiesi at meetings and conferences, and in other interactions with key opinion leaders in collaboration with other functions.
Support data generation activities, including reviewing research grants, post‑marketing research proposals and protocols, initiating start‑up activities, and preparing contractual documents.
Support data publication activities and present data to internal and external stakeholders.
As a content expert, review medical and promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
Participate in the development and delivery of medical training materials for field teams.
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years of combined pharmaceutical industry and academic/clinical medicine expertise.
Experience in rare diseases is a plus.
Proven experience in US product launches is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey scientific, medical, and regulatory information clearly.
Hands‑on and accountable; thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced team environment and complete tasks in a timely fashion.
Excellent organizational skills, operational effectiveness, and a flexible, solution‑driven attitude.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with great attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Scope for personal growth and development.
This position is remote based; up to 35% travel may be required.
Education Advanced Degree required (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent).
Compensation The annual base pay ranges from $185,000 to $225,000. Base pay is subject to market and individual factors. The employee is at‑will and may receive adjustments based on performance.
