Evaluate patients, and treat acute and chronic illnesses Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests Involve patients and families in care and treatment decisions Create treatment plans and complete orders in patient charts Collaborate on improvements in care delivery and service with staff, other physicians and management Initiate appropriate specialty referrals Provide clinical information to the interdisciplinary team in a clear and timely manner Ensure proper patient documentation is timely, accurate and complete Work with practice management to ensure compliance with billing, coding and CPT code assignment Achieve and maintain optimal patient access Provide interdepartmental medical consultation as requested Participate in the development of medical protocols, standard procedures and management of patient care workflows Qualifications
Degree of MD or DO with ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency (three years minimum) or ABFM‑recognized family medicine residency (three years minimum) Licensure
