Position Overview The Nurse Practitioner is an independent healthcare provider who, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team, is responsible for patient evaluation and care. Responsibilities include performing pertinent history and physical examinations, assessing needs, and delivering appropriate treatment. The role involves providing nursing care and health education to an assigned group of adult and geriatric patients in an observation setting. All duties are performed according to the collaborative practice agreement required by the State of Florida.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; MS in Nursing required
Licensed by the State of Florida
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice
Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic patient problems
